Product features
Musketeer doors can be executed in the following combinations:
- Steel door blade with steel angle bar frame.
- Steel door blade with steel flush U-frame.
- Stainless steel door blade with stainless steel angle bar frame.
- Stainless steel door blade with stainless steel flush U-frame.
- Aluminum door blade with steel angle bar frame.
- Aluminum door blade with aluminium angle bar frame.
Optional: 40mm insulation with coverplate (Sendzimir galvanized, aluminium or stainless steel, depending on door blade material)
By means of the patented Musketeer system; stainless steel central closing mechanism with a quick acting handle on both sides. Self braking cleats operate with single action on the handle, ultra light operation due to 1:33 force transmission. Hinges and cleats are fully
adjustable and maintenance free.

What is weathertight?
SOLAS: weathertight means that in any sea conditions water will not penetrate into the ship. A weathertight item is designed to withstand water pressure from one side (the outside). Typical locations are above the waterline, for example on the deck or in the wheelhouse of the ship. Location of doors are indicated with load line position 1 or 2.
What are standard door/hatch blade materials?
Standard materials can be selected: steel grade A, Aluminium 5083, and Stainless steel 316. Thickness 8 mm
What is standard packing?
The hatch Packed on a wooden pallet and sealed with shrinking foil.
Does Winel only deliver standard sizes and executions?
Winel has a range of standard sizes (see specification sheets). But one of the key features of Winel is flexibility to work together with shipyards/owner to find solutions for not standard situations. Please be aware that delivery times for non-standard solutions are longer due to engineering and class approvals.
Are Winel hinges adjustable?
Yes, hinges can be adjusted to change the imprint of the seal. See also maintenance manual.
